Removed my comment since it was so baatil!!! (SC)
"Va vakkaynaahu tokiyatan!!!" (SS ;))

oh and btw

"Windows XP rocks" (Imam Jumhoor)
"What is meant here by rocks is rocks the very circuits of your machine because it is so badly written and inefficient" (Sharh al-Jumhooriyyah)
McMood: Haha, that was quite funny. But what I want to know, did you have to write some code and then compile it in order to execute such humour?
McMood: Please see comments below - Linux exposed by a "Linux Lover"!!!!!! Shock!

Comments to be raised below:

Aqiqah

SS: so is this actually gonna be lawals aqiqah dinner?
Mcmood: Whose? Lawal has a kid? really? Cool - masha'Allah.
SS: Well apparently not yet — he is just trying to gain popularity by pretending his child has already been born.

Linux Versus Windows debate

There isn't one. Everyone knows Windows is just a million times more user friendly which makes up for its inadequacies compared to Linux. (General Consensus amongst sane ppl)

SS: You know I have to disagree with you there. But I shall not argue the case since I use windows at home and at work :-).
McMood: What part of that statement do you actually disagree with?
SS: <Arnie>'Aaaaallluvit</Arnie>
SS: See you have to sample the evil to truly appreciate how bad it is. So in using windows I learn exactly how crap it is and can give an informed opinion on the matter. Whereas people who only use Windows can never make any informed judgement on Linux

McMood: This morning an avid linux evangelist sent me an email saying the following:

http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,125706,pg,13,00.asp

check number 27

Have a nice read, I am not sure yet if the person has shot himself in the foot or not, is it a review praising Linux or is it actually highlighting the very reason why Linux is not used by the "general" user.

Oh some snippets for you all to digest on:

In the meantime, if these are features you crave, check out Smeg, the Simple Menu Editor for Gnome
and
I had harbored fervent hopes that the Breezy Badger would have better support for wireless networking. I've been kvetching in this space for more than a year about the lack of an easy, point-and-click interface for Wi-Fi network selection on the Gnome desktop. When I'm someplace where the Internet is flowing freely through the airwhether it be at a trade show, a coffee shop, or my own living roomI should be able to peruse a list of available networks, clicking to select one to glom on to. This sort of functionality, which has been standard in Windows and the Mac OS for some time now, remains elusive in Ubuntu Linux.

McMood: So Ubuntu to you to! SMEG!

Explanation of the Anwar Sedate phenomena

McMood: I would like an explanation to the latest emails.
SS: Mcmood your are looking rather lethargic these days, in fact I would say you are looking positively sedate — what Anwar Sedate. And there you have it Asad's classic line.
Mcmood: So what is this tookeenaa stuff then?? Is it mirpuri/kashmiri/punjabi?

We need a swimming pool McMood

I tell ya, a swimming pool juat makes the party kick.... Anyone remember the Asif do a year or so back?
Someone must have a large party swimming pool.

entertainment Refi
So we are getting amusement during the day, I suppose I will have to sort out the chicks
You guys want starters and deserts? What do you think this is, a restaurant or something?
McMood: We could order food from a restaurant if necessary? Giftos...
You want a swimming pool as well.... hey will a rail track do? That runs just behind the venue! Nice bit of exciting train spotting hey

One lamb feeds 25-30 people, so taking saleem and kasim into account, inshaAllaah we will still be OK :-)

Bah! Kasim and others know that i am the one you need to take into account (McMood) - I think another lamb may be required.

Table Tennis
From Asda: What was all this about table tennis? Does anyone have equipment? Bats and a few balls is ideal (cos there's always some numpty who steps on a ball). Is there a basketball hoop in your sports hall? I can bring a b-ball along...

And another thing, I'll have you know that "Va vakaaynaahu tokeenaaa!!!" is gramatically wrong!
SS(to Asad): It was so crap wasn't it Asda. He just can't get it right
SS(to Saleem): Oh man Saleem you crack me up that "Va vakaaynaahu tokeenaaa!!!" thing was so funny — one of your best I think — I just can't stop cracking up

McMood: Asad as it seems you are now from Asda cant u rbing all the side dips, drinks and stuff :P

Refi In the place where we will be eating, our masjid-to-be inshaAllaah, there are two table tennis tables along with bats and balls

Asda: So there's no b-ball hoop? Maybe you can get one put in...!?!

Saleem: Yes I did realise that the grammar was incorrect but I noticed that the originator of this humour did not correct this! You seen when people reckon they can do taqdeel (even though they do not know its usool) and mess up, I tell them why they went wrong!

SS: OK so who are the cuddle puffins on this list then?
I hereby to taqdeel of Umer and Saleem — any other takers?

Asda: Va qaddalnaahum taqdeelaa!!! Well I ain't gonna spoonfeed you the answers, am I? Learning is through discovery and reviewing the mistakes that you make. Active learning is what they call it...

Asda: Actually, the reason why it is being held in HW is because Imam Refi took the liberty to take over the gathering completely since we (as typical Mozlems) cannot even organise a p.....rayer in a masjid! wink The flip side to that is the absurdity of it being on a weekday and people coming from relatively far out hope to be turning up...just for the evening! Will it not be possible for at least some of you to take the day itself off and make it a bit earlier? The only way for us all to meet without any hiccups is to do so at a wedding!!! Fink abaa'ii!! (I have to try and get used to Londonspeak. Having been in Brum for almost 3 years, some of the accent is lurking it's head here and there - serious! redface) Plus Azizue is a rip-off!!!

Saleem: Asad you made the typical mistake of putting an apostrophe in "its". You only do that if you are abbreviating "it is". Teachers today eh? frown
